Nothing is going to launch Nothing Phone 2a soon at MWC 2024 launch event. It comes with dual camera setup and a MediaTek Dimensity 7200 chipset. This phone will come with a 120Hz OLED panel screen. Further details of Nothing Phone 2a may be revealed by Nothing during the upcoming MWC 2024 event.

The new Nothing Phone 2a is expected to launch soon, official release date has not been confirmed yet. Nothing phone 2a is a more affordable version of the previous Nothing Phone 2. Nothing Phone 2 aimed at the budget segment because Nothing Phone 2a value for money being criticized in markets. The Carl Pei has announced a price reduction for its existing smartphone available in the market such as Nothing Phone 2.
Nothing shared the post on X (Formerly Twitter) announced Nothing Phone 2a is coming and officially confirmed but they did not tell official launch date but we guess phone will launch during Mobile World Congress 2024 which is going to happen on 27 February.
Some leaks suggests the Phone 2a could come under Rs 35,000, making it a more affordable option for customers. Phone 2a will likely be more budget friendly phone compared to the previous premium phone 2. Nothing Phone 2 got reduced its first price drop of Rs 5,000 in December last year and recently there is another price cut.
A post shared on Weibo by @Sunninton above image show us the apparent a new back panel design for the Nothing Phone 2a, it shows that it is reducing the number of lights in its glyph interface. It also shows the main camera adjusted in the middle from the prior leak.
According to the leak Nothing Phone 2a will be available in Black and White colour. We are not clear if the colour of the glyph interface will change with these options, but there is no colour variation for their glyph lights seen in Nothing Phone (1) and Nothing Phone (2).
As we can see in the image, it has the same curved edges as the Nothing Phone (2), and a thin bezel surrounding the screen. The screen quality is the same but it might be be cost-cutting other parts of the Phone 2 to make the Phone 2a.
The Nothing Phone 2a is likely to get Nothing OS 2.5, which is based on Android 14. Phone 2a is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 7200 chipset, providing a balanced chipset. It has new back design and redesigned Glyph controls similar to Nothing phone 2. It’s expected to get 8GB of RAM and 128GB of storage, although other variants haven’t been confirmed yet by officials.
Company promised that it will come with regular updates and security patches expected to be provided for up to three years after launch.
