WhatsApp for Windows beta is rolling out a multi-selection option for messages
WhatsApp is releasing a new version of the Windows native app through the Microsoft Store’s official beta channel, bringing the version up to 2.2309.2.0. What’s new in this version? For selected beta testers, WhatsApp for Windows beta is rolling out a multi-selection option for messages.
That sounds like an interesting feature for the WhatsApp for Windows beta. Users will be able to select and act on multiple messages at once using the multi-selection option, rather than having to select and act on each message separately. This could possibly save users time and make managing chats with multiple messages easier.
WhatsApp’s native app for Windows users is always being improved by fixing bugs and bringing new features such as call links. WhatsApp has been providing a feature to select beta testers in recent days that makes it easier for users to manage their chat history on the Windows app. Certain users may now select multiple messages inside a chat and then choose to delete or forward them all at once, due to the latest WhatsApp beta for Windows 2.2309.2.0 update available on the Microsoft Store.
As shown in this screenshot, By clicking “Select” in the menu bar of a conversation over a message, you may now select several messages. Instead, you may use the “Select “ messages” option by clicking anywhere within a chat. Users may use this option to select multiple messages inside a chat and then delete, star, copy, or forward them all at once.
This feature, in our opinion, is extremely significant as it provides the following benefits:
- Formerly, users had to click each message individually and delete or forward them. Users may now pick many messages at the same time, saving time and effort.
- Users have more control over their chat history now that they can select multiple messages: they may delete or forward certain messages, and they can also save them by labelling them as starred, making it simpler to manage their conversations and storage.
After installing the WhatsApp beta for Windows 2.2309.2.0 update from the Microsoft Store, beta testers now have the option to select messages. Please keep in mind that if you don’t see this update on the Microsoft Store, it will be handed out to more people in the following days.
