WhatsApp is releasing 21 new emojis from Unicode 15.0
WhatsApp has released a new update via the Google Play Beta Program, bringing the app’s version number up to 2.23.5.13. What’s new in this version? WhatsApp is releasing 21 new Unicode 15.0 emojis for beta testers!
WhatsApp, Meta’s popular messaging service, is releasing 21 new emojis from Unicode 15.0. These emojis are included in the most recent Unicode standard and offer a variety of new symbols and images that users may use to express themselves in conversations.
Unicode is the international standard for character and symbol encoding in digital devices. It is a system that enables devices to display and interact with one another by employing a set of characters. The Unicode standard also includes emojis, which are pictorial representations of ideas and emotions.
As shown in this screenshot, It is now capable of sending those 21 emojis from the newest Unicode 15.0 directly from the official WhatsApp keyboard, removing the need to download and use a separate keyboard. The introduction of fresh emojis ultimately resolves the issue that confused users, since they could receive but not send these emojis without workarounds.
As previously stated, certain users may be able to see those new emojis right within the official WhatsApp keyboard starting today, even on different versions of the app, but it is still recommended to keep WhatsApp updated to the latest version to increase the chances of having the feature enabled for your account.
21 new emojis are now available for certain beta testers who install the newest WhatsApp beta for Android updates from the Play Store, which will become available to even more users in the coming days. To use the new emojis on WhatsApp, users must download their app to the most latest versions. The new emojis will be available on the emoji keyboard after the update is downloaded. By clicking the smiling face symbol in the chat window, users may access the emoji keyboard.
