Google’s new Gemini app available in more regions outside the US
A few days ago Google rebranded Bard to Gemini and also launched a mobile app for users and a more powerful model which is Gemini Advanced available with the $20/month Google One AI Premium Plan. The new Gemini app was available in the US only but users who tried to access the Gemini app outside the US encountered a geo-restriction error. Multiple people in Asia and Europe have access to the Gemini mobile app.
In the past people from outside of the US were able to install from online but couldn’t use it. Google had promised to roll out the Gemini app in more regions. In India, I sideloaded and installed the Google Gemini app from APKMirror, and I was able to use it, because installing this sideload Gemini APK at the time didn’t go for geo-restrictions. Let me tell you, the Gemini mobile app was not officially launched outside the US but some users tried their luck if they are able to use it.
When Gemini responds it has a bit delay in responding compared to Google Assistant. Gemini is slightly slower than Google Assistant, Some commands like “What’s the time in India?” and “How’s the weather in New Delhi”?
Many users are happy with their current Assistant which is Google Assistant, it’s not necessary to replace the Assistant. You can access all the features on Gemini’s website on mobile or laptop. If the Gemini app does not meet your expectations, you can use Google Assistant back, just Uninstall the Gemini app and it will get back you to the Google Assistant as default assistant.
Recently, Google has also announced that Gemini Ultra will now be available to all users and renamed to Gemini Advance. The Web version is live in 240 regions and available in 40 languages.
Gemini Ultra renamed Gemini Advanced will now be available to Indian users on subscription. If you don’t know what is Gemini Advanced just think about ChatGPT Plus similar to the ChatGPT premium model.
You can access Gemini Advance through a Google One AI Premium cost Rs 1,950 for a month in India. At this price you can access to Gemini Advance with 2TB storage.
