This feature is important because online scams have increased in recent months, thousands of users reported losing a lot of money after receiving messages and calls from suspicious contacts. Bad actors always target WhatsApp users for phishing because WhatsApp is the primary messenger for most of the people nowadays.

You can now easily click the Block option next to the Reply button in the quick actions menu in the notification that appears on the screen. If your WhatsApp notification is visible on the lock screen, then blocking unwanted contacts easier without opening the phone.
