WhatsApp beta for Windows now includes a new call link feature for easy call sharing
Meta-owned WhatsApp is releasing a new version of the Windows native app via the Microsoft Store’s official beta channel, bringing the version up to 2.2307.3.0. What’s new in this version? For several beta testers, WhatsApp is giving the option to create a link to join a call.
WhatsApp users may select between audio and video calls and then copy the link to share with their WhatsApp chats to ask others to join the call.
Every time someone sets a new call link, the URL will be unique, ensuring that no one may join users’ private calls without their permission.
As you can see in this screenshot, the new call link option can be found on the calls tab, therefore you must check this section of the app to see if it is activated for your WhatsApp account. If you wish to use this option, you may select between audio and video calls. You may also copy the URL and share it with your WhatsApp chats to quickly invite anyone to join the call.
When you create a new call link, the URL is always unique, ensuring that no one may join your private call without your permission. The call link feature makes it simple to ask others to join a WhatsApp call without having to add them to your contacts. This is especially beneficial for one-time calls with people you may not know well, but just with those you shared the link with, in our opinion. Furthermore, it is a versatile solution because the URL may be shared with others externally.
The new call link feature is now available to beta testers who have installed the WhatsApp beta for Windows 2.2307.1.0 update from the Microsoft Store. Please keep in mind that if you don’t see this update on the Microsoft Store, it will be handed out to more people in the following days.
