WhatsApp is working on pin messages within chats and groups

Messaging has become an essential part of our everyday lives in the digital world, and WhatsApp is without a doubt one of the most popular messaging applications used globally. WhatsApp has over 2 billion active users and has become a popular way of connecting and exchanging information with friends, family, and coworkers. WhatsApp just announced that it is working on pinning messages within conversations and groups, making it an exciting development for its users.

WhatsApp is finally working on a new feature: the option to pin messages, which will be coming in a future app update. Users will be able to select their important messages and put them at the top of their conversation list for easy access thanks to this function.

WhatsApp’s Pin messages within chats and groups isn’t a new idea, and many other messaging applications already support it. Yet, it is a feature that is frequently requested by WhatsApp users, as well as the company has now agreed to add it. Users will be able to pin important messages to the top of their chat or group, providing them instantly accessible and visible to all.

For example, if you’re in a group chat with your coworkers and want to pin a message about an upcoming meeting, you may do so quickly by touching and pressing on the text and selecting the pin symbol. It will pin the message to the top of the conversation, making it simpler to access and view for everyone in the group.

Similarly, you may pin important messages in individual conversations, such as a message including an address or phone number, or an important topic that you wish to return to later. Users will save their time by no longer having to search through long conversations to locate important messages.

The feature is still under development, but due to the most recent WhatsApp beta for Android 2.23.7.3 update, which is now available on the Play Store, we can see how a pinned message would appear within a chat once it is completely completed and launched in the future:
